# valkyrie project

> Complete generated reference for every `valkyrie project` command.

This page documents all 4 commands in the `project` group in registration order. Use the table of contents to jump to a command.

## `valkyrie project create`

Create a project that runs can be started in with `valkyrie run start --project HANDLE`.

HANDLE is the project's permanent handle: lowercase letters, digits and hyphens (e.g., my-project).

**Arguments**

HANDLErequired · `text`

**Options**

\--namerequired · `text`

Name people read (e.g., "My Project"); the HANDLE is what runs are started with and never changes

\--spend-typerequired · `choice` · constraints: one of development, internal, customer

Why this project's runs spend money: development, internal, or customer

\--subcategoryrequired · `choice` · constraints: one of new\_benchmark\_generation, new\_benchmark\_launch\_runs, post\_launch\_benchmark\_update, report, paid\_run, eval\_server, platform, unpaid\_leaderboard\_run, other\_unpaid\_run, fellows\_interns, blog, miscellaneous

development: New Benchmark Generation (new\_benchmark\_generation), New Benchmark Launch Runs (new\_benchmark\_launch\_runs), Post-Launch Benchmark Update (post\_launch\_benchmark\_update); customer: Report (report), Paid Run (paid\_run), Eval Server (eval\_server), Platform (platform); internal: Unpaid Leaderboard Run (unpaid\_leaderboard\_run), Other Unpaid Run (other\_unpaid\_run), Fellows/Interns (fellows\_interns), Blog (blog), Miscellaneous (miscellaneous)

Customer the project is for; required with --spend-type customer

\--tagoptional · `text` · constraints: repeatable

Extra tag as key=value, repeatable (e.g., --tag engagement=q4)

## `valkyrie project list`

List your organization's projects.

## `valkyrie project update`

Update a project's shared spend metadata without changing HANDLE.

**Arguments**

HANDLErequired · `text`

**Options**

\--nameoptional · `text`

New name people read.

\--spend-typeoptional · `choice` · constraints: one of development, internal, customer

New reason this project's runs spend money.

\--subcategoryoptional · `text`

New spend subcategory.

\--customeroptional · `text`

New customer name.

\--clear-customeroptional · `boolean` · default: `False`

Remove the saved customer.

\--tagoptional · `text` · constraints: repeatable

Replace all extra tags with key=value values; repeatable.

\--clear-tagsoptional · `boolean` · default: `False`

Remove all extra tags.

## `valkyrie project delete`

Delete an unused project. Projects with run history cannot be deleted.
